Friday the 13th

Thankfully I am not superstitious. Good thing to because today is my birthday. Who wants bad luck on their birthday? 23. There is really nothing special about this number, but I am thankful to be alive and to have another year to celebrate life. So often I forget to praise God for the things He has done and the things He blesses me with. This morning I felt the urge to thank my Father for giving me life, offering me grace, the realtionships I have with others. I am also grateful for my car. However, if she keeps breaking I will have to beat her with a bat and get a new one. New tires yesterday. And she only stalled once this week! :)

Isn't this one cute?

Here is a little list of things I would like to learn once I have more time on my hands:
pottery and ceramics
sewing (bad first experience with sewing but I have a tiny desire to give it another try)
pilates or yoga
cooking (healthy) and baking
jewelry making (yay for Potomac Bead Company!!)
painting
playing guitar (my brother is going to teach me because he is so talented)

Most importantly I want to give more. of myself. of my time. I may not be blessed with many talents but I love people. I love to learn. I can't wait for youth group to start this year!

Thanks to all my friends and family for the birthday wishes!

um, a blog?

So I have never, ever blogged before. This should be quite interesting. I actually think it is kind of lame....HA! But, hey, I like trying new things. Earlier I had a ton of things on my mind that might have been slightly interesting enough to consider putting on here, but now I can't remember them. I really don't have much to say at the moment. What I should be doing is reading and going to bed, but come on do I ever go to sleep on time??? nope!

There are 181 days until I get married to this guy I just love. I am SO excited!

I should probably add that I have some really great girlfriends. They are wonderful. We just had our weekly girls night, and it was, as usual, inspirational and relieving to have people to share the insides of my pathetic life with. Girls are just amazing. God really did make each one of us unique. Great job, God, keep up the good work!
